Culture Vultures
One other aspect of school life is Culture Vultures. Girls can sign up for visits to the opera and the theatre, go to exhibitions and visit galleries. Among the visits they have made recently are the Versace exhibition at the V.& A. Museum, two visits to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden to see Darcey Bussell in the Royal Ballet (and Pietra Mello-Pittman - an old girl of St Catherine's), and also to "Anything Goes" (Cole Porter) at the National Theatre. We visit the London Coliseum towards the end of this term to see ENO's production of Puccini's "Tosca", and next term there must surely be an opportunity to take in the acclaimed Titian exhibition at the National Gallery.
