School Houses
The House system is the heart beat of St Catherines. Every student, day girl or boarder, is allocated to one of the six day houses: Ashcombe, Merriman, Midleton, Musgrove, Russell Baker or Stoner. Each House is made up of around 100 girls from U3 to U6. A vertical mix which is wonderfully enriching, giving each girl the opportunity to make their own valued contribution in a variety of areas: music, sport, art, drama.
The four dedicated House staff members are on hand but it is the girls themselves who run the show. This culminates in the Inter-House competitions at the end of each term with prizes to be won and personal goals to be reached.
This is a team effort with the younger girls combining under sixth form leadership to pull together the potential of the House. Whatever your talent, your House needs you!
