Boarders
Non-uniform compulsory requirements for Boarders
The School Shop does not stock these items. They must be named.
- Smart fleece or coat suitable for the season
- Leisure wear or casual wear e.g. skirts and jeans etc., blouses and sweaters
- A smart outfit for Church on Sundays (jeans not permitted for church).
- Underwear and tights
- 2 pairs of pyjamas or night dresses
- Dressing gown
- Slippers
- Sponge bag containing toiletries
- 1 duvet (duvet cover and pillowcases optional)
- Needlework kit with mending materials and an extra supply of name tapes
- Bag with shoe cleaning materials
- Bag for swimming things
- Weekend bag
- a rug or blanket (optional)
Hair
Hair must be worn off the face. Exaggerated styles, and colours are not permitted. Hair bands/clips must be black or navy and should be discreet. (Navy hairbands/clips can be bought at the School Shop)
Jewellery
The only jewellery allowed with school uniform is a watch, a plain cross and chain, plain stud earrings or sleepers (one per ear lobe only) and any Medicare item. We recommend that any initial or additional piercing, with parental permission, should only be done at the start of any long holiday periods so that proper healing can take place before the start of term, as only one earring will be permitted in each ear lobe.
