The Development Office at St Catherine’s School was set up in 2006 and works with alumnae, parents, and friends of the School to raise funds for the development of the School's facilities and the hardship fund (set up to assist families that need financial support during their daughter’s time at the School).
Our ambitious and exciting programme of capital development and refurbishment would not be possible without the help and support of the wider School community, and we are immensely grateful to all those who choose to support the School in this way, working with us to build a bright future for St Catherine’s.
We do not have an endowment or investment portfolio which the school can rely on to fund capital projects, and while the School is well run and has great success in educating girls to the highest standard, we have throughout our history relied upon philanthropic donations to fund major work. The most recent campaign was Project 125 which raised £2m towards the cost of the Anniversary Halls which houses our indoor sports, music and drama facilities.
St Catherine’s Registered Charity Number is 1070858

Donor Charter & Ethical Fundraising
St Catherine’s School values the generosity of our supporters and wishes to demonstrate its appreciation of their involvement in our work. The Heads and Governors of St Catherine’s undertake to treat our donors with the highest level of care and respect. Through this Charter, St Catherine’s School assures our donors of the integrity and accountability of our Development Programme. Our charter can be downloaded here.
Gift Aid
Allows the School to claim an additional 25p for each £1 you donate from the Government at no additional cost to you, this makes your donation worth even more.
Matched Giving
Check with your personnel department if they have a matched-giving scheme, this is where the employer matches employee donations to charity, thereby increasing your gift to the School.
Payroll Giving
This is where you give a gift to charity as you earn, it is paid before tax and national insurance and so is very tax efficient. Your payroll department will provide a form if this is available.
