Weekly boarding at St Catherine's gives girls and parents enormous flexibility.
The school accepts weekly boarders from the age of 11+ when they join the Upper Third Form.
In principle the majority of weekly boarders come back to school Sunday evenings, and are then collected to go home on Friday afternoon.
In effect, however, weekly boarders are treated in the same way as full boarders - girls can come back Sunday evening, or stay for the entire weekend if they choose. All the school asks is to know in advance what plans you have made.
Weekly boarders who choose to stay in school over the weekend can take advantage of a full programme of activities that range from theatre, to rock climbing, to spending a Saturday afternoon at Royal Ascot.
