St Catherine's is a single sex school, taking girls from four plus through to Sixth Form. Boarding both weekly and full time, starts at age 11+ when girls join the Upper Third Form. There are also some places for girls each year to join and board at Sixth Form.
The school selects girls based on academic ability, and academically St Catherine's is among the best schools in the country, the girls consistently achieving a premier position in the 'league tables', 2006 being no exception.
However, academic performance is only half of the story. St. Catherine's has an outstanding music department, drama is of a consistently high standard and the art is stunning.
On the sporting field many St Catherine's students perform at the highest level, girls gaining county, regional and national honours in a range of sports including netball, lacrosse, tennis and swimming.
