Bursaries for Sixth Form Studies
|
St Catherine’s School is offering a limited number of bursaries for Sixth Form studies. These are awarded based on an assessment of financial need for those students who fulfill the academic requirements.
Bursaries are only awarded to children who, in the opinion of the School, will benefit from and contribute to the ethos of the School
The decision to award a bursary is at the discretion of the Governors’ Awards Committee and is not subject to appeal. There is always substantial pressure on these resources and applications should be made as early as possible.

Financial Assessment
|
All bursaries will be subject to a means test before an award can be considered.
The income of both parents and of a current spouse/cohabite must be declared
• Supporting documents should be provided
• A notional income based on net assets shall be applied at the prevailing base rate
• A home visit may be required
All bursaries are awarded subject to terms and conditions of good behaviour and performance and will be reviewable annually with the expectation that they will run from year to year if financial circumstances do not change.

Difficulties with Fees
|
The School appreciates that parents can encounter difficulties in paying school fees on occasion. The School is sometimes able to help in some cases by the award of emergency assistance or special payment arrangements. In fairness to other parents, such arrangements would be subject to similar assessment criteria as those for bursaries, and delayed payments would incur interest charges. If you are encountering difficulties in paying fees please contact the Business Manager immediately.
