As the bell sounded for the end of teaching on 3rd June 2008, an excited group of staff were to be found boarding a mini coach headed for London. We survived the rush hour and arrived at the University Womens’ Club in Mayfair in good time to meet with a large group of our most recent leavers. This was an extremely happy occasion and a great opportunity for old friends to catch up with each other and their former teachers. Mrs Phillips spoke briefly to the girls about the development plans currently afoot at School and a great deal of slightly envious enthusiasm was expressed at the idea of assemblies in a seated auditorium! With the memory of numb behinds still fresh in their minds, the girls were amused to hear that chair naming opportunities will be available and that this will be an excellent way in which to support their old school! The London Drinks are now an annual fixture in our programme and we look forward to meeting more of our Old Girls in London again next summer.
