We were absolutely delighted to be joined by 21 Old Girls for this special Reunion, many of whom had clearly made a great deal of effort to be here. Those of us at St Catherine’s who were involved with this event felt privileged to have met these inspirational ladies and hope that they enjoyed the day as much as we at the school did.
We began the day with the Eucharist using the Rite from the Book of Common Parayer. After coffee, one of the current Middle School Choirs, Middle Cantores, gave us a short concert. There was plenty of time for conversation, laughter and reminiscing at lunch. After lunch, Mrs Phillips, Headmistress, showed some photographs from the school Archive taken during the 1930’s and 1940’s. Needless to say, these sparked many memories! Our current Sixth Formers very much enjoyed meeting our guests and accompanied them as they visited old haunts and explored our newer facilities. The day concluded back in the Conference Room for afternoon tea.
