Upper II (Year 5)
Curriculum Overview
UII is a busy year for the girls. Academically, we aim to complete most of the syllabus for Common Entrance in the core subjects along with equally challenging work in others, encouraging the girls to think 'out of the box' and extend their understanding of the world.
The year is full of activities in and out of the classroom, with trips locally to Hampton Court, BrooklandsMuseum and Guildford Cathedral in order to support and enhance their teaching and learning opportunities. A highlight of the year is a residential trip to France when girls are encouraged to speak French and learn about aspects of the French way of life.
During the year, the girls are also responsible for showing prospective parents around the school and have greater involvement and opportunities to represent the school in a variety of sporting disciplines.
