One of the many great strengths of St. Catherine’s is the house system, and each girl belongs to one for her whole time here. Her house is a source of stability and continuity in a much changing world. The Sixth formers lead the house, encourage and care for the younger members, as they will do for others in their turn.
As Housemistress, I value the opportunity to know girls and their parents from the age of eleven, to watch them grow up, flourish and leave after the Sixth Form as confident young women with an awareness of others and ready to take their place responsibly in the world.
Within the house system and at the centre of Christian values is a fundamental belief in the value of each individual, and it is that which makes St Catherine’s, and Russell Baker so special.
