There is, of course, no such thing as a typical week in a busy boarding school. There are the bells, the routines, the work, the rules, but mainly, there is what each individual girl chooses to take from what is on offer to her. Boarding at St Catherine's offers flexibility, the opportunity for different activities with different people each night of the week and at week-ends.
Drama Club is available on Mondays, followed by swimming (splashing about or thirty uninterrupted lengths!) on Tuesdays, Aerobics on Wednesdays, and Cookery or Art on Thursdays, with Judo in the Gym on Tuesdays. Of course, the sportswomen could be training or playing matches, the dramatically minded rehearsing for the School Production ("Teechers" this year) and the musicians practising or performing any evening. The week-end might see you going home; making use of the proximity to London so going to the theatre, the ballet, or an exhibition; swimming or ice skating at Guildford's outstanding sports complex; shopping; visiting local rural attractions; sightseeing in Oxford, Winchester or Brighton; or relaxing from the hectic week. On Sundays the full boarders join the local community for worship at Holy Trinity Church.

PREP
Prep is supervised for younger pupils, ensuring that work is completed before such activities take place and they also have access to the computer network; whilst for Sixth Formers, that vital skill for success at university and life, time management, is promoted : the evenings are theirs to be planned, and the support is in place if it all becomes a little too hectic.

Each house has a weekly meeting where girls and House staff can share information and plan events.
Last in this list, for emphasis, comes the chapel - always open and on Wednesday evenings before supper, a place where the boarders meet as a community to take stock in the middle of a busy week and to reflect on shared values.
