Baby Cats Welcome Back Celebration
(11th June 21)
We hosted a little Baby Cats party! We knew that this year has been hard for them and we were happy to welcome families back on-site to enjoy lots of fun activities.
We have a lovely Cottage Garden which is totally separate from the Prep School and therefore was a Covid secure area.
Who is that we see lying in the glen? Bottom? Let's have a look and see what Puck is going to do to him! Mr Blunt and his amazing team have put together a wonderful video of A Midsummer Night's Dream and I’m sure you and your little ones will enjoy it!
To make your own Midsummer Night's Dream Mask click here.
In this video of the lovely story Manuelo, a Praying Mantis who wants to find the perfect instrument to play. Mr Blunt will take you through the story, and we will explore the sounds and music of the insects as Manuelo travels from pond to field to thicket
Our last event for the term and our Baby Cats Mini Series is the Spring Special hosted by Mr Blunt, our Head of Music in the Prep School. Join in on our fun musical showcase of uplifting songs sung by our Pre-Prep girls from St Catherine's.
In a slight change to our programme, Mr Blunt and his amazing team have put together a recording of the wonderful story of Cinderella. This event has no activity pack but allows your little ones to dance along with Mrs Eringa as Mrs Sadler reads the story of Cinderella.
Enjoy our second video from our Baby Cats Mimi Series. Mr Blunt, Mrs Sadler and Mrs Eringa will take your toddlers on a beautiful ballet journey. If you would like the activity pack to go with this event, please email Miss Mc Alister on PO-Junior@stcatherines.info or complete the link to the Booking form above.
This is our first video of our Baby Cats Mimi Series. Join Mr Blunt, Mrs Sadler and Mrs Wilson who will take your child on a magical bean adventure. If you would like the activity pack to go with this event, please email Miss Mc Alister on PO-Junior@stcatherines.info
Take part in our Chansons des Chatons Baby Cats event. This is a chance to come together, learn some simple songs and some basic vocabulary, and see just how accessible another language is for young children. A mercredi!
This session is run by Mrs Hobourn, an Early Years French specialist teacher and will be suited to children 2-4 years old, but please feel free to have your younger ones join in on the fun!
Let our specialist teachers bring to life the classical story of Swan Lake for your little ones.
Virtual Baby Cats - Tomte's First Christmas (Dec 2020) (Link available on request)
Please note that this video is no longer available for viewing on our website, if you would like to view this video please email PO-Junior@stcatherines.info and we will send the video to you.
We joined Matthew Blunt, our Director of Music and Jacqui Sadler, our School Librarian in December as they went on an adventure through a snowy landscape with Tomte, a Swedish gnome, as he tried to save Christmas.
Let Mr Blunt, Miss Hayley, Mr Sykes and our girls, get your toes tapping to a selection of Jazzy musical treats.
Jayne Bennett, one of our dance teachers will be dancing her way through the children’s favourite ‘The Gruffalo’ as well as meeting all the woodland animals.
This short reflection on kindness is geared to young children. It is brought to us by our Chaplain, Rev McNair Scott. I hope you and your family enjoy it and share it with your friends.
Our extremely popular Baby Cats is now going virtual! Mr Blunt, Mrs Wilson, Mrs Sadler and a few of our UII girls have put together a special session about lions. The book ‘The Lion Inside’ encourages little ones to face their fears and 'find their roar'. I hope you and the family enjoy this resource, and we would love you to share it with your friends.
