Wrap-around Care
We recognise that managing school runs alongside work, home and other family commitments can be a challenge. As such we have both a ‘Breakfast Club’ and an after-school ‘Cat Club’ that your daughter can join. Both are available from Reception (PPI) to L3 (Year 6).
Early Mornings
Early mornings
Breakfast Club 7.30am-8am
Supervised by teaching staff and resident GAP students, your daughter can enjoy a healthy breakfast at the start of the School day. She’ll join girls from across the Prep School in the Dining Room situated on the Senior School site. Your daughter will have lots of choice with hot and cold breakfast options that change across the week for variety! There is always a hot full breakfast – sausages, beans, eggs, tomatoes etc, a bakery tray with bread, muffins, waffles and bagels, options also include porridge with dried fruit and honey, natural yoghurt with granola and berry compote, selection of cereals and fruit juice. You can expect your daughter to make her choices with a little help from the GAP students if needed. Any food allergies can of course be accommodated.
After eating, your daughter will be taken directly to the Prep School for Registration and will begin her school day with a full tummy!
You can book your daughter into Breakfast Club for just one morning a week or five - whatever suits your family. You can book a week in advance or a term in advance through an easy online booking system. Breakfast is offered at just £3 and charges will be added to your School account.

Your daughter may well have an after-School club or activity or be scheduled for a Dance class in our Dance School. If this is the case, she’ll be guided to that activity and we will advise you of later pick-up times.
For older girls wanting to complete their prep at school, they can attend Prep Club supervised by our teaching staff and be collected at 4.15pm.
If you’d like to collect your daughter later and would like her engaged and entertained until you arrive, we can offer you Cat Club. Girls in Prep Club can join Cat Club at 4.15pm.
Cat Club 3.30pm-6pm
At the end of the School day, you daughter, from Reception to Year 6, can go to Cat Club with her friends.
You can book your daughter into Cat Club for just one afternoon a week or five - whatever suits your family. It is flexible, so you can change the days your daughter does Cat Club each week. Families often use Cat Club to manage work commitments, align pick-ups where they have daughters in the Senior School, or children at other Schools.
From Reception to Lower 3 many enjoy Cat Club after School. If the weather is dry, girls are usually to be found in the woods, making mud-pies, creating intricate and imaginative games, dancing and performing. Mrs Bacon and her team provide a range of activites including board games, crafts, origami, maths puzzles and books to keep young minds active. For the older girls, there is a dedicated room for supervised homework and a little guidance is on hand if needed. Girls may on occasion also make use of a music practice room.
All this activity requires fuel so sandwiches (tuna, cheese, ham, jam!), crudites (pepper, cucumber, carrot and cherry tomatoes), homemade cakes and a fruit platter are on hand for the girls.
Our Senior School girls volunteer to support CAT Club as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award so our youngest girls are encouraged by the ‘big girls’, who help them draw, learn swingball or create a special birthday card for Dad. As all ages in the Prep School are together the girls make firm friends across the year groups and their social skills really benefit.
